Established in 1996, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is a Catholic not-for-profit healthcare organization in the US. CHI’s main goal is to provide all Americans with affordable health care. Catholic Health Initiatives Operating Investment Program (OIP) is an investment pool administered by the treasury services of Catholic Health Initiatives. Its assets are primarily made up of the Catholic Health Initiatives Foundation; however affiliated entities' assets are also managed by OIP, including Alegent Health. In 2019, Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) have come together as CommonSpirit Health.
