Timbre Capital was founded in 2008 and incorporated in Singapore. The private equity fund manager was an Exempt Fund Manager, approved by Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) under the Global Investor Programme (GIP). Private equity funds raised under the GIP has to allocate a mandatory minimum of 30% of each GIP-registered fund to Singapore-based firms. Timbre Capital was also interested in other countries within Asia, with a preference for China and Japan. While it had largely focused on the healthcare, IT, oil and gas, logistics, clean technology and shipping industries, the fund manager was also open to a diversified array of industries. Timbre Capital is no longer an active firm and will not be raising any new private equity funds.
