iSigma Capital (ISC) is a Tokyo-based private equity firm operating as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation. The firm focuses on buyout investments in the lower middle market in Japan, targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with enterprise value between JPY 2 billion to 20 billion. While being sector agnostic, ISC prefers to invest in sectors where Marubeni Group has a network and expertise it can leverage in supporting its investee companies. The firm supports a range of their investees businesses from sales, overseas expansion, business strategy and planning, to capital policies and business management systems. iSigma Capital is no longer active in venture capital activities while it used to manage two venture capital funds in the past.
