IVS A/S is a Danish venture company founded in 1999 by a team of experienced professionals with a strong track record of developing technology businesses in the IT field. IVS invest in technology-enabled innovations within IT and telecommunication, with an emphasis on software and infrastructure. Investments are made in businesses founded on unique and proven innovations, either in companies that develop new technology or companies using technology in the implementation of new business models. IVS invest as lead investor in companies based in Denmark, although they may be interested in opportunities abroad in cases where they feel they can add significant value to the investment. They get involved in companies in all stages of development, ranging from early-stage investments to restructuring of mature companies. Initial investments we make in a company are typically around DKK 10-25m, corresponding to a significant equity share, typically in the range of 20-40%. They commit more capital to companies as necessary. They are quite happy to invest in syndication with other financial partners. In most investments, they expect exit possibilities to emerge within 4-7 years. In December 2006, VS A/S and Bankinvest IT Venture merged to become NorthCap Partners.
