Next Wave Funds is a US-based fund of funds manager which aims to give limited partners the opportunity of investing in European venture capital managers. Next Wave Funds also makes selective direct investments. It believes that the best opportunities over time will be in cross-border venture capital in early-stage and growth companies with global prospects. In 2005 the firm formed a joint venture with Japan Asia Investment, an independent venture capital firm in Japan. Also, in 2012, Next Wave formed a strategic collaboration with Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, a Nordic venture capital firm.
