Beijing Venture Capital (BVC), founded in 1998, is a Beijing-based private equity firm that seeks venture capital opportunities in the alternative energy, environmental services, IT, agriculture, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and new materials sectors in the domestic market. It is a joint-venture between Beijing State-Owned Assets Management, Zhongqing Chuangyi Investment Management and State Owned Properties Investment & Management Co of Haidian District, Beijing. BVC invests in companies that have innovative technology, competent management team, a strong competitive edge, diverse customer base and international growth potential. The private equity firm adopts an active role and works closely with the management of its investee companies to maximize investment returns. It lends support through its financial expertise, management and strategic advices. BVC exits its investment via IPO. Beijing Venture Capital is no longer in active operations.
