Established in 1984, Vanguard Atlantic is a private equity firm that makes investments in American and European high-technology companies. The firm left investment banking and turned its focus entirely on private equity investments in companies not yet attractive to conventional early-stage venture funds due to under-developed strategic positioning, an incomplete management team, a business plan in progress, or other characteristics normally required for seed or post-seed investments. In these situations, Vanguard Atlantic helps to resolve the difficulties and to attract more conventional and continuing financial support.
