About
Columbia Threadneedle Investments Private Equity (‘CTI PE’) which was previously known as BMO Global Asset Management’s Private Equity business has been investing continuously in private equity for more than 30 years, beginning at the Edinburgh-based independent investment management company Martin Currie in the early 1990s. Originally known as Martin Currie, in 2005 the firm was acquired by F&C Group. F&C Group was then acquired by BMO Global Asset Management in 2014. Then in 2021, BMO Global Asset Management (EMEA), which included the Private Equity business, was acquired by Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
