The firm offers a diverse suite of public and private market solutions across strategies such as Equity Long/Short, Credit, Commodities, Equity Market Neutral, Multi-Strategy, Event Driven, Private Credit, Private Equity, and Insurance-Linked Securities. At the core of Lumyna’s model is its partnership approach—collaborating with third-party investment managers to bring top-tier alternative strategies into the regulated and liquid UCITS framework. Originally launched in 2007 as Merrill Lynch Investment Solutions (MLIS), the platform was part of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In 2018, it was acquired by Generali Investments and rebranded as Lumyna, becoming a key component of Generali’s expanding multi-boutique asset management business. Since 2023, Lumyna has expanded its investment scope to include private debt and private equity, introducing opportunistic credit strategies and buyout-focused vehicles. Lumyna is currently part of Generali Investments. The firm Hedge Fund strategies include: Commodity, Credit L/S, Multi-strategy,Equity Market Neutral, Equity L/S and Event Driven. The Private Markets strategies include: Private Credit and Private ILS, implemented through Semi-liquid and Evergreen vehicles.
