Ant Capital Partners (ACP), is a Tokyo-based private equity firm specializing in buyout and secondary investments, formerly known as Nikko Antfactory. The firm primarily consists of two segments, the Private Equity Investment Group and the Secondary Investment Group. The Private Equity Investment Group seeks buyout opportunities in small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in Asia, Japan with business succession issues, corporate carve-out activities, and capital restructuring needs. The Secondary Investment Group provides liquidity solutions to investors looking to liquidate their positions in unlisted Japanese companies (Secondary Direct Investments) or private equity funds (Secondary LP Interest Investments). Ant Capital Partners is a joint venture between Nikko Principal Investments Japan and UK-based Antfactory Holdings. It was merged with Nikko Capital to form Nikko Antfactory in 2003 and operated as the private equity arm of Nikko Cordial Group until its shareholder restructuring and re-branding in 2008. ACP currently operates as an independent private equity firm backed by the Norinchukin Bank, MITSUI & CO., Principal Investments, alongside its management team and employees. The firm invest in manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, edtech and industrial sector.
