Enterprise Florida (EFI) is a public-private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for the state of Florida. EFI focuses its economic development efforts on a wide range of industries, including aviation/aerospace, life sciences, information technology, homeland security/defense, financial/professional services, logistics and distribution, clean technology, manufacturing, headquarters and beyond. Enterprise Florida Capital Development is no longer active in private equity, after raising a fund in 1995. The firm now looks to just improve the economic development of the state of Florida through various initiatives from government and other investors to new and existing businesses.
