In June 2011, BayernLB and BayTech Venture Capital merged to form BayernLB Capital Partner. BayernLB Capital Partner is based in Munich, Germany, and invests in companies at all stages including late stage, growth, mezzanine, buyout, spin-offs, and special situations. The firm invests in a broad range of industries in Europe, but with regards to early-stage investments. BayernLB focuses its investments in cleantech, life sciences, and ITC industry sectors. In November 2013, Sobera Capital bought out the venture arm (BayTech Venture Capital) of the firm.
