About

Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria (FMFIB) was by Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers as a special-purpose vehicle fully owned by the state. FMFIB aims to manage the financial instruments designed to support the implementation of programs co-financed from the European structural and investment funds. FMFIB was established by the government as the entity managing its fund of funds operation and its sole mission is the effective implementation of the financial instruments in Bulgaria. FMFIB targets projects that have the potential to be economically viable, providing support in line with the EU's growth and employment objectives. Bulgaria took the strategic decision to implement the financial instruments under its operational programs via a national investment vehicle structured as a fund of funds.
