Founded in 2010, SBI (B) Sdn Bhd is a Shariah-compliant private equity firm based in Brunei. The firm is a joint venture between the Ministry of Finance of Brunei Darussalam and SBI Holdings, Inc., a financial services company based in Tokyo, Japan. The firm makes investments in Shariah-compliant private companies in ASEAN countries. SBI invests in late-stage/expansion, pre-IPO and IPO deals in diversified sectors with an exception for Oil & Gas, and Real Estate.
