Polaris Capital Group (PCG) is a Tokyo-based private equity firm specializing in buyout investments in the domestic market. It actively invests in Japanese companies that have global growth opportunities in the healthcare and technology sectors across Japan. They also invest in companies in the following segments: Manufacturing, medical, IT, services, consumer goods, retail, logistics, and ESG. Formerly known as Polaris Principal Finance, the firm was originally established as a joint venture between Mizuho Securities and DIAM Asset Management (formerly DLIBJ Asset Management). The firm adopted its current name in 2010 and currently operates as an independent firm, owned by its management team.
