In August 2022, Altis was acquired by Barings. The fund managers manages both private unlisted real estate funds and separate account mandates. Barings Real Estate Australia partners with investors and key customers by co-investing alongside investor partners. The real estate arm of the firm focuses on opportunities in office, industrial, residential, senior housing, self-storage, and retail properties. The Australian institution acquires, redevelops, repositions as well as undertakes active management of its properties and sells them off at an opportune time.
