About
Sindicatum Carbon & Energy Management (SCEM) was the investment management company of Sindicatum Sustainable Resources, one of the global project developers in the climate change mitigation industry. SCEM was dedicated to the Istithmar & Sindicatum Climate Change Partnership, a co-investment fund that finances the creation of low-cost clean energy projects registered with the United Nations. Sindicatum’s areas of specialty were mitigation of coal mine methane and landfill gas emissions, less carbon-intensive energy and industrial emissions, and environmental technology commercialization. Within its clean technology division, Sindicatum focused on waste heat recovery, combustion control systems, high-efficiency lighting and motor systems, and renewable energy systems, including biomass and geothermal. In May 2021, the company have been sold to KKR.
