About

Vækstfonden is a state investment fund, which aims to create new growth companies by providing venture capital and competence. Vækstfonden invests equity or provides loans and guarantees in collaboration with private partners and Danish financial institutions. Vaekstfonden also helps farmers get established for the first time as well as established farmers who need to expand. The target group is healthy farms needing long-term risk capital to realise their plans. The experienced agricultural team works closely with banks, mortgage credit institutions, accountants and other advisors to find the optimal solution for each company's needs. The organisation is split between groups such as Vækstkapital, Partnerkapital and Startkapital, each distinguished by varying investment criteria. Vaekstfonden is also a private debt firm that finances companies in diversified fields and in all stages of its life. It focuses on innovative Danish companies with strong potential to grow. In January 2023, three Danish state funds, EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency (EKF), Vaekstfonden and the Danish Green Investment Fund, were merged to form Denmark's Export and Investment Fund which now leads the state's investment activities.
