Buenavista Equity Partners is an independent asset manager founded in 1996 that operates in the lower mid-market segment. The firm operates across three main strategies: Private Equity, Infrastructure and Venture Capital. Buenavista Private Equity targets buyouts, expansion, growth capital and direct secondary deals trying to maximize the portfolio value in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) through a buy-and-build strategy. The firm's focus is on Iberian companies with a possibility for add-on deals at both national and international level. The firm aims to originate, execute, finance and divest assets in diverse economic environments, as well as provide operational knowledge and experience in internationalization strategies of the portfolio companies. Buenavista’s Private Equity strategies are Buyout, Growth Capital focus on Healthcare industry and Secondaries. Buenavista Infrastructure specializes in public and private infrastructure investments. It manages funds from private investors as well as European institutions, focusing on projects that promote sustainable urban development and energy efficiency. It also manages Structural Funds under the JESSICA initiative for greenfield urban development in Andalucía (Spain) and energy efficiency in several regions of Spain. Buenavista Ventures has two management companies (one in Spain and one in Portugal). The funds in the Buenavista Ventures area focus their investment on startups and entrepreneurs fostering technological and digital innovation, through new proprietary technologies (preferably patented) and/or disruptive business models that contribute to the transformation of the traditional economy. The Spanish fund, Buenavista Ventures, focuses on investing in Series A (or pre-Series A) rounds of startups, mainly from Spain and in the digital sector (software verticals, Fintech, e-commerce, Artificial Intelligence, etc.). The Portuguese fund, Buenavista Tech Seed, focuses on investing in Seed (or post-Seed) rounds of Portuguese startups, and primarily invests in verticals such as Health Tech, Biotech, Clean Tech and digital.
