TIF Ventures was a spin-off from the National Science & Technology Board and was formed as part of the Technopreneurship 21 initiative, which is a Singapore government programme to promote a viable and thriving sector of high growth technology-oriented companies in Singapore. The firm was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore. As of Q2 2009, TIF Ventures no longer exists. The remainder of TIF Venutres private equity portfolio is managed by EDB.
