About
Established in October 1994, the Southern Africa Enterprises is an initiative of the Former President William Jefferson Clinton of the United States, Former President Nelson Mandela of the Republic of South Africa, and the US Congress for the specific purpose of providing funding to stimulate the creation and expansion of small and medium-size indigenous businesses throughout southern Africa. It provides USD 1-5 million in funding for mid-market management buy-outs, management buy-ins, acquisitions and expansion opportunities in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Southern Africa Enterprises previously managed the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund. This fund is now managed by Inflection Capital Partners.
