Established in 2009, Brain Asset Management is a South Korea-domiciled hedge fund manager based in Seoul. Founded and led by CEO Kun-Yung Park, the firm operates across three core business areas: hedge fund management, managed accounts, and investment advisory services. Brain Asset Management invests across publicly listed securities; pre-IPO equities; mezzanine instruments including convertible bonds (CBs), exchangeable bonds (EBs), bonds with warrants (BWs), convertible preferred shares (CPS), and redeemable convertible preferred shares (RCPS); and blind private equity funds, with the objective of generating absolute returns irrespective of market direction.
