North Sea Capital was established in January 2001 by the senior professionals of Nordea Private Equity, a unit within Nordea Investment Management. Prior to the spin out, the team had built Nordea’s private equity fund of funds program since the first fund of funds was set up in 2001. After the spin out, North Sea Capital continued to manage Nordea’s fund of funds program. North Sea Capital has global mandates for both its discretionary and the non-discretionary services. It also advises clients on the secondary market as well as co-investments. These clients range from public pension funds, corporate investors, family offices, and foundations amongst others. Its clients are predominantly located in the Nordic countries.
