Low Carbon Investors is an independent and specialist asset management company with investment products for both retail and institutional investors in low carbon businesses. Low Carbon Accelerator is the venture capital arm of the firm which is managed by Low Carbon Initiative with a focus on clean energy, cleaner fuels, energy efficiency and buildings. Operating in the low carbon arena, Low Carbon Accelerator takes significant minority holdings in unquoted private companies whose products or services lead to net reductions in green house gas emissions. Registered in Guernsey, Low Carbon Accelerator’s investment focus is based primarily, although not exclusively, on the UK, Europe and North America. LCA prefers the early stage and expansion/late stage investments but also considers some seed investments to augment its portfolio. Low Carbon Investors was taken over by Armstrong Energy and the firm are no longer active in private equity.
