MCM utilizes a multi-asset class approach and aims to identify and invest in a limited number of researched investment opportunities. The firm adopts a bottom-up, research-driven process to build a concentrated portfolio of selected holdings. Its first fund was launched in 1997. Melkonian Capital Management also invests in private equity and real estate. The firm's private equity investments are across pharmaceuticals and other diverse industries in the US. As part of it's real estate strategy the firm makes opportunistic investments in real estate properties in the US.
